Considering that panic is one of the most common anxiety disorders, it has a negative effect on the quality of life and well-being of students. The purpose of this research is to compare the psychological well-being and panic of physical education and non-physical education female students. This study was a post-event method with a causal-comparative design as well as a correlational description, which was provided to the students through information to collect data. The statistical population of this research included all the female students of Tabriz University in the academic year of 1401-1402, of which 89 were selected as a statistical sample using available sampling and completed the questionnaires electronically. The tools that were used to collect data in this study include the demographic information form and the Albany Barlow and Zinbarg Panic Questionnaire (APPQ) to measure social anxiety and the Rief psychological well-being questionnaire to measure the psychological well-being of students. According to the objectives of the research, the data were analyzed using the method of comparison of averages, independent t-test and Pearson's correlation by SPSS software. The results showed that there is a significant difference in the psychological well-being components of physical education and non-physical education students, and higher psychological well-being was reported in physical education students than non-physical education students. Also, a significant difference was observed in the panic components of physical education and non-physical education students, and physical education students had less panic than non-physical education students. The results indicate that participating in physical and sports activities increases psychological well-being in students and reduces anxiety and fear in students.
