The purpose of this investigation, Investigating the effect of educational self-talk In the form of self-control and coach-control to learn football passes. 30 non-athlete boys aged 20-25 years were selected voluntarily. First, the football pass performance test was taken. Then, the subjects were divided into 3 groups of 10: self-control training self-talk, control instructor training self-talk and control group. Participants practiced soccer pass for 15 sessions. After the last training session, post-test and after 72 hours, a memory test was taken. After performing the research steps, the obtained information was analyzed. Analysis of variance at the significance level of 0.05 was used to test the hypotheses. Bonferroni post hoc test was used to determine the differences between the groups in different stages. The results of the present study showed that the self-control self-talk groups and the control instructor performed better than the control group in both acquisition and retention stages and their differences were significant. In general, according to the research results, it can be said that the use of self-talk technique can be useful in the early stages of learning football pass, as one of the basic skills in football that requires concentration, coordination and accuracy to perform. The results also showed that self-control in the form of self-talk can enhance effort by improving intrinsic motivation and thus improve skills.
